Genesis Block Cryptographic Puzzle
by Qubic Church3 min read
Historical post, re-checked in September 2026. The Genesis public key does not form a working Bitcoin Script, the [72,72] link to 500-BTC blocks came from an index error, and the other design readings in this post were not confirmed.
What changed
A new chapter has been published:
- Chapter 26: Genesis Block Cryptographic Puzzle (since set aside, see September 2026 re-check)
Thirteen findings
The 65-byte Genesis public key simultaneously satisfies two independent constraints:
- It is a valid point on the secp256k1 curve.
- It parses as a coherent four-instruction Bitcoin Script:
PUSHBYTES_4,OP_PUBKEY,OP_5,PUSHBYTES_72.
The dual-purpose encoding means the bytes were deliberately chosen to satisfy both the curve equation and the Script opcode structure simultaneously. That is a designed construction, not a random pubkey.
Matrix resonance
The script contains PUSHBYTES_72 (opcode 0x48 = 72). Looking up position matrix[72][72] in the Anna Matrix yields -27. Earlier text read this as the constant that selects 10 early Bitcoin addresses containing 500 BTC; that selection was an off-by-one index error and was not confirmed.
When the 65 pubkey bytes are encoded as a ternary state and iterated through the Anna Matrix, the system converges to a period-4 cycle at step 11 with sum signature (-42, 50, 38, -56). This observation motivated follow-up work on the seven-position signature, which was later not confirmed.
On-chain trinity
Three Qubic addresses (POCC, HASV, PXMARAS) issued the community tokens GENESIS, EXODUS and AIGARTH, with initial supplies of 676 billion, 676 and 1. They are linked by a chain of payments: the GENESIS issuer funded the EXODUS issuer, which funded the AIGARTH issuer, including 27 transfers of 26 QU. (Corrected in September 2026: an earlier version called this a closed triangle with no external contacts, which is not the case.)
Signature fragment
The last 57 bytes of the Genesis public key form an incomplete ECDSA signature: a valid r-value (32 bytes, a legitimate x-coordinate on secp256k1) followed by 25 of 32 s-value bytes. Seven bytes of the s-value are missing - consistent with a construction that requires an external completion.
What this does not claim
The chapter explicitly separates three types of finding:
- Tier 1 (mathematical): the dual-purpose encoding, the matrix diagonal lookup, the period-4 convergence. All integer arithmetic, fully reproducible.
- Tier 1 (blockchain): the on-chain trinity, the 26x27 transfer pattern. All blockchain-verifiable.
- Tier 2 (observation): the signature fragment interpretation. A possibility, not a proof.
The chapter was set aside in September 2026. See September 2026 re-check.
