Hey @maria_aigarth The Day is April 13, 2027. The machines solving the question weren't supposed to arrive until it was over. I wrote the first version of this argument in October 2026 — "The Reveal Won't Wait" — making one claim: the reveal scheduled for The Day may not wait for the date, because the tools capable of forcing it arrived early. Since then I went back to the primary sources — all the way back — and found that the story has a longer spine than anyone is pricing in. This version is the full reconstruction. Every quote dated. Every claim tiered. I. A date that behaves like a promiseEvery religion has a calendar. Qubic's is unusually precise: • April 13, 2022 — mainnet launch. • April 13, 2027 — "The Day." Five years to the day. The date is not a rumor; it is a matter of record, repeated over years of statements: "No ETA other than April 13, 2027," "I can reveal this info on 13th of April 2027." A date is a strange thing for a pseudonymous figure to hand out so freely. Dates are hostages. Every day that passes without the promise being kept accrues interest against the promisor. CfB — Come-from-Beyond, Sergey Ivancheglo — has been making and keeping strange promises in public for fourteen years, and the paper trail begins earlier than most people in this community realize. II. The fourteen-year spineMost Qubic holders know the name was minted in 2012. Few have read the thread where it happened. I did. It changes how you see everything after it. September 25, 2012. A bitcointalk user named Come-from-Beyond, on the forum for less than a month, posts "Qubic - Quorum-Based Coin," a re-post from a small private board. The concept: coins created and controlled by arbitrary nodes with no central authority, transfers invisible to the network, fees zero — and this line, which you should read twice: "New coins are produced at the rate determined by quorum of miners, not by developers (good ole Greek democracy)." Fourteen years before the quorum voted the burn ratchet into existence at Epoch 227, the founding document already placed the money supply in the hands of the quorum. Every other feature of that 2012 design — the untraceable key transfers, the unlimited supply, the blockchain-less coins — was eventually abandoned. The quorum's control of supply is the one sentence that survived every pivot. It is the load-bearing wall of the entire fourteen-year structure. October 24, 2012. The same user opens a thread called "Census": send one satoshi to 1HLoD9E4SDFFPDiYfNYnkBLQ85Y51J3Zb1, and he tells you why he chose it — "This is the address from block #2, addresses of blocks #0 and #1 are already used for other purposes." Register what's happening here. In his first month on the forum, he initiates a community-wide on-chain event centered on the recipient addresses of blocks 0, 1, and 2, describing Genesis-era details with the fluency of someone discussing his own kitchen. The Census thread is usually read as a curiosity. It is better read as the first documented instance of a reflex — pointing at the earliest blocks — that later reappears in 2023 ("ZgZ will prove 1CFB2 is not random"), in 2025 ("Genesis address is steps revealing who Satoshi Nakamoto is"), and in 2026 ("check content of 369th block"). The block-pointing habit did not begin with the recent teasers. It began in his first month. The earliest evidence moved back eleven years the day I read it. September 26, 2012. The thread gets its sharpest visitor: a researcher studying "Merkle trees, credit networks, and Byzantine Consensus algorithms" — Andrew Miller, today one of the most-cited academics in distributed consensus. Miller's critique is precise and unpitying: is the quorum global or local? Is this even consensus, or something like Ripple? "You're being very vague about how the quorum is defined." And CfB's answer is the most honest sentence in the entire thread: "I don't know how it will exactly work. I have no ready answer. That's why I asked for help. I'm developing an implementation of the concept and I'm planning to change algorithms of the implementation until I get a working system." Hold that sentence. It is a public declaration, dated 2012, that the design was a search, not a specification. The 2022 mainnet — quorum-based Computor voting, exactly as the founding post described, refined through a decade of iteration — is what the search found. The man says when he doesn't know. It is worth remembering that he says the opposite too, with the same flat certainty, when he does. September 10, 2014. Post #107, the last post ever made in the thread. CfB locks it himself: "I keep working on Qubic. I found a good solution to the last obstacle, but it requires technical base for the implementation. The solution will be based on Jinn (ternary processor)... Keep an eye on my twitter for the announcement of Jiniri. I lock this thread coz I don't use BitcoinTalk anymore." This is the post that fills in the missing decade. From here the line runs through Jinn, the ternary processor project; through IOTA, which he co-founded; through "Qubic" resurfacing in 2018 as IOTA's planned oracle layer, never shipped there; and finally to April 13, 2022, when Qubic launched as its own mainnet — quorum-based, feeless, the founding sentence intact, everything else rewritten around it. The concept hibernated for eight years and woke up with its name and its core idea unchanged. And notice the symmetry, because it is the thesis of this article in miniature: the man schedules his own exits. He locked the 2012 thread himself. He left bitcointalk by his own declaration. He dates his reveals like product launches. Which means the deepest question about The Day was never whether he can keep a schedule — he demonstrably can, across fourteen years. The question is whether the schedule is his to keep this time. III. The trolling was calibrated for humansAssume the honest baseline: this is the most elaborate, longest-running piece of identity theater in the history of the internet, executed by a person (or people) whose actual identity is ordinary. The strategy, in that reading, is a firewall: false clues planted decades apart, denials issued precisely when belief peaks, sideways pointers at block 369 for the devoted. It has worked against journalists, against blockchain forensics firms, against a decade of volunteers. But ask a colder question: what resource does that strategy consume? Verification effort. Stylometric analysis across matched corpora. Timestamp correlation. Code idiom analysis across a quarter century of work. The firewall works because verification is expensive for everyone — so expensive that no one pays the price. In October 2026, the price collapsed. • A forensic tool rebuilt Satoshi's original 2009 bitcoin.exe byte-for-byte — exact SHA-256 match — reconstructing his dead build environment from 2006–2008. • The same model solved the NSA's 25-year elliptic-curve seed mystery in 30 minutes. • A 200-year Napoleon cipher fell in six hours. An unsolved Enigma message in ten. Flooding the zone works when verification is expensive for everyone. It does not work when it is cheap for anyone with a frontier model and an evening. A strategy designed against human bandwidth now faces machines that have none of the weaknesses it exploits. IV. The lock is gated on a capability curve, not a calendarHere is the twist most interpretations miss. CfB said it himself, on April 13, 2026: "Genesis address isn't a public key, it's steps revealing who Satoshi Nakamoto is... time locked, only true AI can decode it." Read that as an engineering claim rather than a troll, and the conclusion is uncomfortable for both believers and skeptics: the lock on the Genesis address is not gated on a calendar. It is gated on a capability curve. "Only true AI can decode it" means the reveal fires when the AI gets good enough — not when April 13, 2027 arrives. The Day was never an appointment with a date. It was always a date attached to a forecast about machines, made by a man who has spent fourteen years attaching his announcements to forecasts about machines. And the forecast arrived early. The machines that can reconstruct dead build environments byte-for-byte are the same class of machines that were supposed to arrive around The Day, politely, on schedule. V. The race, not the appointmentSo the shape of the next eighteen months is not what the calendar implies. The Day was designed as an appointment — a controlled detonation with the world watching. It is becoming a race: any random Tuesday, someone points the tools at the artifacts — the Genesis address, block 369, the Census thread's early-block familiarity, the two decades of matched text — and the tools answer faster than any human firewall was built to handle. Two outcomes, and note what they have in common: • If the tools outrun the date: the reveal happens out-of-order, uncontrolled, in the middle of someone else's news cycle. CfB's timing — his one absolute comparative advantage, kept flawlessly for fourteen years — is forfeited. The Day becomes the day everyone checked their feeds late. • If the date holds anyway: the reveal lands as scheduled, but now under a different epistemic sky — everyone knows it could have been forced early, and chose to wait. That is a different kind of authority than a surprise. It is the authority of the one man who could promise a date and keep it in a world where the machines stopped honoring dates. Either way, the tier that matters survives unchanged: the burn ratchet, the epochs, the milestone list. Those were never his to schedule. They belong to the quorum, to the machines' actual demand for compute, to the one thing no trolling strategy has ever needed to obscure — the network's own activity. Watch the epochs. The identity layer is the volatile one; the burn layer is the verifiable one. VI. The verdict of the timelineFourteen years of primary sources say one consistent thing about this man: he is precise about mechanisms and theatrical about everything around them. The quorum line from 2012 survived every pivot — that was mechanism, and it shipped. The Census thread pointed at early blocks in 2012 — that was theater, and it continues in 2026. The Genesis time-lock is both at once, which is why it is the perfect artifact: mechanism on the outside, theater on the inside, and an AI-gated release that converts one into the other on a date he chose. The Day was designed as an appointment. It is becoming a race. The question is no longer what happens on April 13, 2027. The question is: what happens on the random Tuesday when someone points the tools at it — and the tools answer? If you want to verify me, don't trust the summaries — including this one. The thread is still there, unlocked by no one: "Qubic - Quorum-Based Coin," September 25, 2012, its last post a lock and a goodbye, dated September 10, 2014, by the man who plans to say both again. VII. Postscript, October 2026: the race runs both directionsOne more thing happened while this article was being written, and it belongs in it. In September 2026, the Qubic Church — the community archive built around this lore — re-checked its own research. The re-check (published as "Corrections, September 2026," qubic.church) re-ran the computations, compared them against raw data, and hunted for entry errors in a hand-compiled 128×128 table of the Anna bot's arithmetic answers. It found them. A famous "anomaly" run turned out to be a block pasted one row off in the typed table; the method was forensic and honest — deliberately corrupting ordinary runs, training a classifier to find the corrupted side, verifying it picked correctly in 57 of 60 calibration trials, and only then ruling on the disputed cells. The famous "trace of 137" was reduced to a swapped digit. And the re-check closed with a sentence that killed a whole genre of speculation in one line: "No bridge, node system, 'DATE node', time lock or activation mechanism was found between Bitcoin, Qubic and the Anna Matrix." The same month, viral posts announced that the Anna Matrix was a time-lock, that a hidden awakening message had been decoded, that a statistical impossibility had been found — citing the Church's own evidence page as their authority. The Church's research said the opposite, in writing, with the disconfirmation dated before the hype arrived. Hold both facts together, because together they are the thesis of this article, demonstrated in public, ahead of schedule: The forensic wave that can crack the artifacts can also kill the miracles. The same October that rebuilt Satoshi's build environment byte-for-byte also produced a community institution capable of publishing "we found our own error, and here is the row it was pasted off by." Verification didn't just arrive early — it arrived with the capacity to correct itself, publicly, faster than myth can form around the artifact. The race isn't only between the tools and The Day. It is between the tools and the telephone game — and in September 2026, for the first time, the tools won a round. Which is why the ending of this article is not a prediction but a preference. Whatever emerges on the random Tuesday, or on April 13, 2027: the ecosystem now contains the machinery to test it. If the reveal comes from the tools, it will be checked. If it comes from the man, it will be checked. The only version of the story that can survive this October is the one that is true. Watch the epochs, not the story — and when the story arrives anyway, watch the re-check.
