Most AI today is built by people chasing scale. David Vivancos spent thirty years walking toward something else - and he's one of the three minds behind Aigarth's brain.

David Vivancos doesn't come to AI from crypto. He comes to crypto from AI - three decades of it. He calls himself an "AI algorithmist," and the claim has receipts: work on virtual reality back in 1995, brain-computer interfaces in 1998, a GPT-like model as early as 2006, and by his own count more than 26,000 hours devoted to one question - how do you build a general intelligence, not just a bigger model?

## The man who turned his own brain into a dataset

In 2014 Vivancos founded MindBigData, today the largest open dataset of multimodal brain signals for machine learning. The remarkable part isn't the size - it's how he built it. For two years he wired himself into a 128-channel EEG and recorded over a million of his own brain signals while looking at and thinking about the digits 0–9. That tells you the kind of researcher he is: one who'll spend years inside the experiment rather than around it.

That instinct - start from the living brain, not the convenient abstraction - is the through-line of everything he's done since.

## Not a faster old idea. A different idea about what a neuron is.

With Dr. José Sánchez @josesanchezhb, Vivancos is co-inventor of Neuraxon - a blueprint for a more brain-like kind of computation, and the lead author of its papers. Where conventional neural networks speak in binary, Neuraxon speaks in three states: +1 to excite, −1 to inhibit, and a 0 in between that lets the system settle instead of snapping between extremes. It runs in continuous time, inputs always flowing; its synapses can strengthen, weaken, reconnect, and its neurons can even die - shaped by experience rather than frozen at training.

And Vivancos does what good open science demands: he puts it all out in the open. The full code is on GitHub under an MIT license. Interactive 3D demos run in your browser on Hugging Face - you can literally build and watch a brain. There's a live "world" at nxon.online where Neuraxon creatures breed and evolve 24/7, and an open dataset of a million simulated lives behind it. The papers are public, the reads are climbing, and the code is being cloned and run by strangers - the surest sign research is real.

## The field is noticing

Neuraxon 2.0 won Best Evening Presentation at the 11th ICMLT in Berlin and is heading toward Scopus indexing. And the team's latest work - a Multi-Neuraxon architecture - was just accepted at AGI-26 in San Francisco this July, one of the most established venues in artificial general intelligence research. Vivancos has also spent years on the world's mainstream stages: ITU's AI for Good, Microsoft, PwC, Santander. This is not a niche crypto résumé.

## He's also been writing it down

Vivancos has spent years putting his thinking into books - several of them, on where AI and human knowledge are heading. Three to start with: The End of Knowledge, on what happens when we hand knowledge to machines; Artificracy: When Machines Become Citizens (with a foreword from his Neuraxon co-author Dr. José Sánchez); and From Big Data to Artificial Intelligence. They're the long-form version of the same question the code is chasing - what intelligence is for, and who it's for. Worth a read if you want the worldview behind the work.

## Why we're telling you this

At TesserAI, we're building a marketplace for verifiable AI on Qubic - and Aigarth is the most important ground we're building toward. The kind of intelligence Vivancos and the Qubic science team are growing - one that learns continuously, reasons from structure rather than memory, and can even hold a state that means I don't know - is exactly the kind of AI whose work can be verified. Their science is the bedrock a great deal of our own work rests on.

Right now, Vivancos is building Aigarth alongside Dr. José Sánchez and Come-from-Beyond @c___f___b.
